- 6 chicken breasts, boneless skinless
- 3 tbsp. Hungarian paprika, divided
- 2 large yellow onions, chopped
- 1 (24 ounces) roasted garlic tomato sauce
- 1 cup chicken broth (or bouillon)
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 4 tbsp. butter melted, divided
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, add chicken (cut into 1-inch pieces), 1 tbsp. paprika, 2 tbsp. butter, broth, garlic powder, tomato sauce, chopped onions and salt
- Place the lid on and cook for 6 hours on 'LOW' or until the chicken is tender.
- In a small bowl, add the flour and the remaining butter. Combine well. Add them into the slow cooker and stir well. Cover, and cook for 15 minutes on 'HIGH' or until sauce is reduced and thickened.
- Turn off the slow cooker, open the cover, and add paprika, and sour cream. Stir well.
