How to make sugar free sweet and sour sauce?

Ingredients Required:

  • Rice wine vinegar
  • Sukrin Fiber Syrup
  • Sugar-Free tomato sauce
  • Tamari sauce
  • Garlic powder
  • Xanthan gum

Instructions

  1. Heat a saucepan over medium heat and add all the ingredients (see the measurements in the recipe card below) except the xanthan gum and bring to a boil
  2. Add in the xanthan gum and simmer for a few minutes or until it reaches your desired thickness.
  3. Remove from the saucepan and serve immediately over chicken.

How to Make Baked Keto Sweet and Sour Chicken?

  1. Cook the chicken as instructed in the card below.
  2. Once cooked and browned, layer the chicken in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
  3. Pour in the sauce and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
  4. Done! Serve over cauliflower rice.

How to Make Low Carb Sweet and Sour Chicken in Crockpot?

  1. Place the chicken in a 2.5-4 quart slow cooker.
  2. Combine the sauce ingredients and pour all over the chicken into the crockpot
  3. Cook for 3-4 hours or on high for 1.5-2 hours or until the chicken is done.
  4. Stir in the xanthan gum or guar gum to the chicken and cook for another 25 – 30 minutes or until the sauce reaches the desired thickness.
  5. Garnish with green onions and serve over cauliflower rice if desired.

Ingredients

For the chicken:

  • 1 pound chicken thighs, boneless, skinless cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups parmesan cheese, powdered
  • 1 cup avocado oil, for frying

For the sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon tamari sauce
  • 1/3 cup swerve sweetener
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce, sugar-free (or tomato paste)
  • 1/3 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ginger, fresh grated
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum, optional (or guar gum)

For garnishing:

  • Scallions, sliced

Instructions

For the sauce:

  1. Heat a saucepan over medium heat and add in all the sauce ingredients except xanthan gum; stir well to combine.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, add in the xanthan gum and boil for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally or until the sauce thickens.
  3. Remove from the heat and set aside to completely cool.

For the chicken:

  1. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium heat, add oil and let it become hot.
  2. Take two shallow bowls and beat the eggs into the first one and combine the powdered parmesan and pepper to the other.
  3. Firstly, dip a chicken into the egg mixture then to cheese mixture and coat well. Repeat for the remaining pieces.
  4. When the oil is hot and ready to fry, add the chicken and fry for about 5 minutes (make sure not to overcrowd the skillet) or until cooked through and browned. Fry the chicken in batches and set aside.
  5. Baste the chicken with the sauce and serve immediately over cauliflower rice and garnish with scallions.

  1. Above the recipe card you mention Sukrin fiber syrup, but it’s not included in the sauce ingredients on the recipe card. Is this optional? Either way, what is the recommended product, (there are a few different kinds on Amazon) and in what amount please?
